The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tickler rushes Day and presses him up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tickler prevents the takedown attempt.
Day tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Tickler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Day connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Day blocks a jab.
Sloppy strikes from Tickler. Those never looked like landing.

Tickler gets a clinch.
Day wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Day. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tickler crunches a lovely knee into Day's ribcage.
Day really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tickler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Day turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Tickler scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Day doesn't seem bothered though.

Tickler lands a left and a right that send Day crashing to the mat, dazed. Tickler thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Day is rocked!

It looks like Mauricio Day has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Tickler has cracked Day with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Tickler lands another huge swinging hook and Day tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Day, before Tickler can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tommy Tickler!
