Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demario Johnson (ranked 3937 p4p, 460 weight class) and Stanley Steemer (ranked 4701 p4p, 496 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Somebodies Gonna Get It. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stanley Steemer!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a front kick aimed at Steemer's knee but Steemer avoids it well.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Steemer has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson looks to land a combination but Steemer avoids it well.
Johnson motions for Steemer to come forward. Johnson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Johnson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Steemer checks a low kick from Johnson.
Johnson throws a body punch but Steemer moves out of range.
Steemer tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steemer has managed to clinch.

Johnson misses with a hook
and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Steemer throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
Johnson connects with a leg kick. Steemer looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Steemer drives through and clinches with Johnson against the cage.

Johnson manages to break the clinch.

and Steemer counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnson scores with a hook to the body. Steemer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Johnson goes for a small jab and connects. Now Johnson goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Steemer stumbles back but Johnson runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Steemer to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Steemer will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Demario Johnson!
