Yoritomo comes to the cage accompanied by Praying Mantis - Praying Mantis. Kamakiri Yoritomo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Etchecopar pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Etchecopar walks into a jab.
Etchecopar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yoritomo throws out the jab.
Etchecopar misses with a body shot.

Etchecopar moves into the clinch.

Yoritomo manages to break the clinch.
Etchecopar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yoritomo moves away.
Yoritomo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Etchecopar appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Etchecopar doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A combination from Etchecopar does no damage.
Yoritomo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Etchecopar manages to avoid it.
Yoritomo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Yoritomo cracks Etchecopar with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Etchecopar wants to counter the offense by Yoritomo and move into the clinch position.

Etchecopar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yoritomo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Etchecopar throws a series of punches but Yoritomo avoids them all with ease.
Yoritomo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rokugan in the buildup to the fight.
Kamakiri Yoritomo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Etchecopar wants to clinch.
It looked like Yoritomo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Yoritomo looks to land a right hand but Etchecopar moved out of range.
Yoritomo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Etchecopar.

Etchecopar lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Yoritomo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Etchecopar. Etchecopar obviously looking to wear him down.
A decent looking cross lands there for Yoritomo.

Etchecopar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Yoritomo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Yoritomo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Etchecopar at a distance.
Etchecopar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Yoritomo throws out a loose jab but Etchecopar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Etchecopar tries to move into range but Yoritomo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Etchecopar is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Yoritomo misses the target.

enabling Yoritomo to counter with a crisp jab.

Yoritomo lands a left and a right that send Etchecopar crashing to the mat, dazed. Yoritomo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Etchecopar is rocked!

Yoritomo cracks Etchecopar with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Yoritomo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Etchecopar to stand back up!
Etchecopar is still on wobbly legs! Can Yoritomo finish him?

Are you kidding me?! Yoritomo ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Etchecopar clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
