PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabian Herrera (ranked 5702 p4p, 477 weight class) and Cezare Borgia (ranked 6980 p4p, 514 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabian Herrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cezare Borgia!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera shoots in and drives through. Borgia sprawls well.
Herrera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Borgia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Herrera somewhat.

Borgia closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Herrera's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Borgia.
Borgia's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Borgia is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Herrera's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Herrera's back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Borgia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
