Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corey Hocking (ranked 3221 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Mane (ranked 6129 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Corey Hocking has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hocking throws a lazy head kick

and Mane decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hocking's guard.

Hocking has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Mane is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Mane manages to break the clinch.

Mane shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hocking manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Mane counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hocking!

Mane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hocking defends well and Mane ends up having to push Hocking into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hocking connects with a nice short shot to Mane's temple.
Hocking will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mane is looking for a sweep. Hocking is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mane keeps trying to improve his position.
Mane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hocking is working away from the top position though.
Mane moves into full guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Hocking's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hocking pushes down on Mane's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Hocking feints and as Mane raises his hands in defense, Hocking changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Corey Hocking will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hocking is looking to cinch up a triangle. Mane throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hocking's body to avoid the submission. Hocking has instead reached around Mane's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hocking arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
