Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Potter (ranked 2243 p4p, 277 weight class) and Outlaw Hardy (ranked 1956 p4p, 239 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter wants to clinch but Hardy slips to the side
and Potter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Potter lands with a thumping leg kick.

Hardy struggles to land a body shot inside as Potter controls his hands.

Hardy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Hardy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Potter circles away quickly and effectively.
Potter drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Potter.
Potter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hardy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Potter somewhat.
Nice straight punches there by Hardy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hardy.
Outlaw Hardy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A jab from Hardy finds it's way through Potter's defenses.
Potter has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hardy.
Potter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Potter's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
