Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Porto (ranked 1785 p4p, 230 weight class) and Jon Horn (ranked 3924 p4p, 424 weight class). Jon Horn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Alexander Porto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Horn!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porto moves forwards but Horn connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Porto tries to close the distance and clinch but Horn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Horn stuns Porto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Porto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Porto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Horn's waist but Horn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Porto off to one side.
Horn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Porto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Horn scores with a nice body kick.
Horn jabs at Porto's body.
Horn fails to land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick misses from Horn.
Horn tries a head kick but it misses.
Porto takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Porto defending well as Horn loads up on a big left hand.

Porto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Porto shoots in looking for a takedown but Horn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Porto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Porto shoots in looking for a takedown. Horn tries to sprawl out of it but Porto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Horn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Horn looks to land a combination but Porto avoids it well.
Porto takes one to the chin there.

Porto rushes Horn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Porto lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Porto gets control of Horn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Porto will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Horn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Porto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Horn wants to get back to his feet.
Porto thows a huge punch but Horn dodges it nicely.

Porto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Horn defends it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Porto is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Porto is looking for a kimura but Horn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Porto to get the leverage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Horn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Porto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Horn is trying to stand.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Horn throws a head kick that misses.
Horn with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Porto has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Horn.

Porto closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Porto is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Horn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Horn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Horn waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Porto.
Porto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Horn sprawls well. Horn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Porto gets slowly back to his feet.

Horn lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Porto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Horn defends it nicely.

Horn throws an overhand right that lands on Porto's shoulder, as Porto tries to avoid the shot.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Horn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Porto swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Horn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Porto.
Horn has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Horn takes a swing at Porto's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters circling a little - Horn finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Horn scores with a head kick.
Porto tries to clinch
and Horn counters with a low kick, right behind Porto 's knee.
Horn lands with a right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Porto's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Horn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Porto scrambles back to his feet.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Horn - that will leave a mark!
Horn connects with a nice cross there... Porto is looking wobbly and Horn recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Porto to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Horn jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jon Horn!
