Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Freeman (ranked 3907 p4p, 441 weight class) and Xora Lutar (ranked 3602 p4p, 410 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Xora Lutar!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman dives in and grabs Lutar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lutar pushes down on Freeman's head and hops out.
Freeman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lutar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Freeman somewhat.
Freeman shoots in and drives through. Lutar sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Freeman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lutar throws a leg kick but Freeman checks it.
Freeman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Freeman doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lutar counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Freeman blocks an elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Freeman swings wildly with an uppercut but Lutar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lutar dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Xora Lutar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Freeman darts in looking for a takedown but Lutar gets double underhooks and turns Freeman into the cage.
Lutar steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Freeman.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lutar displaying some good clinch control by pressing Freeman up against the cage.
Freeman blocks the elbow strike.
Freeman misses with a punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lutar has Freeman pushed against the cage.
Freeman swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Freeman pulls guard.
Lutar trying to stand up but can't free himself from Freeman's guard.
Lutar wants to control from the top but Freeman keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lutar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Freeman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Freeman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lutar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lutar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lutar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Freeman has his foot on Lutar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lutar works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Freeman looking for a guillotine here but Lutar defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freeman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lutar should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Freeman has tightened it up now! Lutar should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A very excited looking James Freeman made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
