Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson James (ranked 144 p4p, 23 weight class) and Turd McPherson (ranked 648 p4p, 93 weight class). Turd McPherson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyson James!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Turd McPherson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPherson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away.
James fails with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by James or perhaps it was just good defense by McPherson, which made it look bad.
McPherson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but James defends it well.
McPherson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

McPherson shoots in and gets a takedown into James's guard.

James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McPherson is aware though and is defending well.
James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McPherson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
McPherson looking to pass the guard.

James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McPherson is aware though and is defending well.
McPherson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McPherson manages to get himself to full guard.

James distracts McPherson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

McPherson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. James doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. James manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McPherson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McPherson is looking for a triangle but James pushes his legs off easily.

James might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

James lands a couple of elbows.
McPherson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
James has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McPherson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. James is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McPherson.
You can see the frustration on McPherson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McPherson tries to buck James off but James is having none of it.
McPherson keeps trying to improve his position.
James creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

James cracks McPherson with a big elbow.
James cracks McPherson with a big right hand but McPherson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.


McPherson is rocked!
James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd goes nuts as James knocks McPherson out cold with a massive hammerfist! James Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tyson James!

A very excited looking Tyson James made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
