The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christie misses with a hook

and Hyde counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Christie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hyde is working away from the top position though.
Hyde wants to stand but Christie has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Hyde lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Hyde's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
