Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Dio (ranked 3447 p4p, 327 weight class) and Soul Jah (ranked 2732 p4p, 281 weight class). Jah has chosen Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Dio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
33 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Soul Jah!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dio misses with a jab, cross combination.
A lazy left from Dio finds it's target.
Danga de danga de dang - Dio scores with a four punch combination!
Dio tries to clinch but Jah moves away
and Jah counters with a body kick.
Dio falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jah counters with a nice body kick.
Dio tries to clinch up.
Jah avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jah now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Dio fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jah unleashes a big counter combination but Dio bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Dio, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dio misses the shot to the body.
Dio moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jah defends it nicely.
Jah throws a counter combo.
Dio lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dio.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dio rushes Jah and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dio pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dio looks to clinch
and Jah counters with a body kick that stops Dio in his tracks momentarily.
Dio lands with an overhand left.
Dio throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dio moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dio closes the distance and clinches.
Dio breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jah dodges the punch combination from Dio.
A nice side step and Jah releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Jah slips a jab and a cross from Dio.
Despite the aggression on Jah's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dio moves into the clinch.
Jah is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Dio is breathing heavily.
Dio managing to block the knees to the body from Jah.
Jah putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Dio in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

I was talking to Dio's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Dio takes a knee right on the jaw!
Jah throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dio blocks it with crossed arms.
Jah just leaning against Dio, taking a breather.
Jah pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dio rushes Jah and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jah misses with a body punch.
Jah breaks the clinch.
Dio shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jah is trying to defend but Dio finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dio throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Jah is controlling Dio's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Dio not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jah makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Dio fails with the takedown
and Jah counters with a massive head kick! KABOOM! Dio is out cold! A devastating KO!

Our winner, Soul Jah, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
