The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Bernier.
Bernier scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mcknight goes for a double leg but Bernier avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bernier continues to drive forward.
It seemed like Bernier was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Bernier throws a jab when Mcknight was well out of range.

Mcknight closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcknight lands in his opponent's guard.
Mcknight postures up in Bernier's guard and throws a big left but Bernier blocks it.

Bernier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mcknight moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
