Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cai Jia (ranked 2019 p4p, 245 weight class) and Marin Ivanov (ranked 2968 p4p, 354 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cai Jia!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marin Ivanov!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jia throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ivanov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jia connects with the punch.
Jia lands with a nice body punch.
Ivanov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jia's waist but Jia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ivanov off to one side.
Ivanov has his takedown stuffed
and Jia counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ivanov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jia connects with a right hand. Ivanov shakes it off.
Ivanov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jia counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cai Jia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marin Ivanov.
Ivanov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jia tries to avoid it but Ivanov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jia to the ground. Jia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ivanov.
Nice takedown defense from Jia. No joy for Ivanov on that attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jia scores with a jab to the body.
Ivanov looks winded!

Jia cracks Ivanov with a right hand to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ivanov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jia as he avoids it easily.
Jia cracks Ivanov with an open hand slap.
Ivanov goes for a double leg but Jia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jia continues to drive forward.
Ivanov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jia as he jumps to the side.
Cai Jia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivanov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ivanov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jia counters with a nice right hand that sends Ivanov toppling to the canvas! Ivanov scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Jia finish him?!

Ivanov is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jia digs a good body shot into Ivanov's ribs.
Ivanov is still on wobbly legs! Can Jia finish him?
Ivanov walks straight into a right hand from Jia - that's dropped him! Jia jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Ivanov from any more punishment! Ivanov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
