Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Jimenez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, WoW WoW!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

WoW pushes Jimenez up against the cage in a clinch.
Jimenez tries to land knees in the clinch but WoW avoids the damage to the body.
WoW misses with a body punch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Jimenez.
Jimenez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
WoW can't find room to land a body shot as Jimenez controls the action.
Jimenez is looking to break free of the clinch but WoW has double underhooks.

WoW jumps guard.
WoW utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jimenez wants to stand but WoW is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
WoW trying to keep a closed guard but Jimenez is proving a slippery customer.
Jimenez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jimenez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and WoW avoids it.

WoW keeps control of Jimenez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jimenez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Jimenez wants to get back to striking at distance but WoW won't allow it.

Jimenez is fighting off a takedown attempt but WoW is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jimenez to the mat. Jimenez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
WoW is looking to stand up but Jimenez won't let him.
Jimenez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
WoW wants to control from the top but Jimenez keeps moving.
WoW is looking to stand up but Jimenez won't let him.

Jimenez is controlling WoW's posture.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

WoW stands and steps away. Jimenez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

It looks like WoW WoW has been cut.

Jimenez gets tackled into the cage by WoW. WoW maintains the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

WoW moves away from the strike by Jimenez.
WoW appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

WoW closes the distance and clinches.
Jimenez misses with some punches.
Jimenez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Jimenez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
WoW content to slow the pace in the clinch.
WoW misses with a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
WoW has Jimenez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. WoW pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jimenez tumbling to the mat - WoW dives into Jimenez's guard.
Jimenez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and WoW manages to pass to side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
WoW perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
WoW thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jimenez's head.
WoW is controlling the pace.
Jimenez is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
WoW ducks under a wild hook from Jimenez.
WoW tries to move into range but Jimenez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jimenez misses with a jab, cross combination.

and WoW counters with an inside leg kick.
Jimenez tries to clinch but WoW is having none of it.
WoW appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

WoW forces Jimenez back against the cage and clinches.
Jimenez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jimenez is trying to push WoW away but WoW has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
WoW prevents Jimenez from breaking the clinch.
Jimenez misses with some punches.

WoW WoW showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Jimenez misses with a series of wild punches.
Rufus Jimenez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jimenez missing with a left hand there. WoW was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

A nice side step and WoW releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

WoW has hold of one of Jimenez's legs. Jimenez is fighting the takedown attempt but WoW gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

WoW WoW has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jimenez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jimenez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. WoW is working away from the top position though.

WoW decides to stand and escape the position.
Jimenez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but WoW manages to avoid it.

WoW tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

I've got WoW winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
