The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicodemo jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ragozin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nicodemo as he avoids it easily.
Ragozin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nicodemo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Nicodemo! But no joy.
Nicodemo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nicodemo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ragozin on the side of the head.
Ragozin fails to land the takedown.
Nicodemo is trying to counter with his kicks.
Ragozin tries to clinch up.
Ragozin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nicodemo unleashes a big counter combination but Ragozin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Ragozin tries for a takedown but Nicodemo circles away easily
and Nicodemo counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitaly Ragozin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ragozin is holding his hands too far apart here. Nicodemo throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Ragozin is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
