Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Total Badass (ranked 5252 p4p, 210 weight class) and Rodimus Prime (ranked 4741 p4p, 200 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Total Badass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rodimus Prime!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badass shoots in looking for a takedown but Prime manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Badass's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Prime looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Badass!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Badass struggling a bit here.
Prime just content to control the position.
Prime tries to move into full mount but can't pass Badass's legs.
Badass is looking to regain half guard here but Prime keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Prime shoots in and bounces Badass off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Prime is standing up over Badass. Badass looks to escape but Prime dives into side control.

Badass is looking for a sweep.
Prime advances to mount.
Badass tries to hold on but Prime postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Badass is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodimus Prime dominated that round.
That's time! Badass's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Badass doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Prime counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Prime has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Prime is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Badass can't fight it off and eventually Prime manages to take the fight to the floor. Badass looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Badass tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Prime content to stall in guard here.
Badass seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prime prevents Badass from getting back to his feet.

Badass is working an open guard so Prime takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Badass fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Badass fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Prime avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Total Badass. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Prime closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Prime lands in his opponent's guard.

Badass is looking for a triangle but Prime pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Prime must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Prime controls from within his opponent's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Prime stands and steps away. Badass gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodimus Prime showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Prime moves into the clinch.

Badass is fighting off a takedown attempt but Prime is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Badass to the mat. Badass regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Prime trying to control the position from guard on top but Badass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Prime controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Badass wants to sweep but no luck.

Prime decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Badass, up you get!

Prime pulls guard successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prime throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Prime looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Badass won't allow Prime to sweep him here.
Prime takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Badass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Badass pushing down on Prime's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Prime works his way to full guard. Good work.

Badass drops back, looking for a kneebar! Prime looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Prime looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Prime!

Badass is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Prime is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Prime trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Prime pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Prime looking to control and managing it successfully.
Badass is trying desperately to improve position.
Total Badass has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Prime tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rodimus Prime comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Prime has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
