The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.
A jab lands there for Arias.
Nice sprawl there from Arias as Smith shoots in.
Arias scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though.
Arias stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Arias wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Albert Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Arias decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard.
Arias seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arias on the ground.

Arias is trying to trip Smith. He has hold of a leg but Smith is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Arias persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Smith reaches up and pulls Arias towards him, trying to control the position. Arias manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Smith! Smith tries to roll over - now Arias is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Smith has to tap out! Great work there by Arias!
