The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Fitzsimmons.

It looks like Matt Kristo has been cut.
We've been informed that Fitzsimmons has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kristo darts in trying to clinch
and Fitzsimmons counters with a straight right hand.
Fitzsimmons swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kristo.
Fitzsimmons looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kristo tries to clinch but Fitzsimmons moves out of range.
Fitzsimmons blocks a jab.
Fitzsimmons digs a good body shot into Kristo's ribs.
Fitzsimmons connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fitzsimmons throws an overhand right that lands on Kristo's shoulder, as Kristo tries to avoid the shot.
Fitzsimmons throws a front kick aimed at Kristo's knee but Kristo avoids it well.
Kristo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fitzsimmons swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kristo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fitzsimmons lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kristo at a distance.
Fitzsimmons lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fitzsimmons looks to land a right hand but Kristo moved out of range.
Kristo wants to clinch up but Fitzsimmons keeps it at a distance.

Fitzsimmons throws a looping overhand right but Kristo ducks down to avoid it.
Fitzsimmons lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Kristo is rocked!
A jab from Kristo misses.
Oh Kristo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kristo leaves his chin hanging out and Fitzsimmons seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kristo crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
