Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barry Wardrobe (ranked 23634 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finnick Skywalker (ranked 3421 p4p, 331 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wardrobe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to God Save The Queen. Finnick Skywalker acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skywalker misses with a left hand

and Wardrobe counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wardrobe.

Wardrobe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Wardrobe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Skywalker is adopting a defensive guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wardrobe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wardrobe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wardrobe throwing strikes from guard but Skywalker blocks nicely.
Wardrobe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Skywalker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Skywalker can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wardrobe postures up in Skywalker's guard and throws a big left but Skywalker blocks it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wardrobe slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Skywalker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wardrobe.

Wardrobe clinches with his opponent.
Skywalker digs a right hand into Wardrobe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Wardrobe's gas tank.
Wardrobe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Skywalker pulls his leg out and moves away.
Skywalker scores with a sloppy right hand. Wardrobe should have avoided that one.

It looks like Barry Wardrobe has been cut.
Skywalker clobbers Wardrobe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wardrobe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Skywalker swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barry Wardrobe. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Skywalker lands a big right hand that sends Wardrobe crashing to the mat! Skywalker stays standing though and waves Wardrobe back to his feet!

Wardrobe is rocked!

Skywalker lands a brutal uppercut that launches Wardrobe off his feet! Wardrobe tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
