Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ashley Cutts (ranked 5095 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Demmick (ranked 24752 p4p, 0 weight class). Bo Demmick will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ashley Cutts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Bo Demmick!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demmick fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cutts moves out of range of the leg kick from Demmick.

Demmick scores with a takedown into Cutts's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cutts is on top in guard.

Cutts forces his way into half guard.
Cutts is thwarting Demmick's attempts to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Cutts passes to full mount!
Demmick is bucking up trying to escape but Cutts cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Cutts with shots to the head and body - Demmick looks very uncomfortable down there.
Cutts controlling the position easily from mount.

Poor strikes thrown by Cutts there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Cutts lands a nice shot to the head.
Demmick is wriggling around trying to escape.

Demmick tries to reverse the position but Cutts maintains control.

Cutts sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Cutts is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Demmick has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Demmick!

Demmick decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cutts, up you get!
Demmick moves in looking to clinch but Cutts pushes him off.
Demmick connects with a leg kick. Cutts looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bo Demmick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cutts throws a leg kick
and Demmick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Demmick tries to clinch but Cutts moves out of range.

Demmick tries to keep at a distance but Cutts has taken the fight into the clinch.
Demmick tries to circle away but Cutts has him pinned against the cage.

Cutts manages to break the clinch.

Cutts tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Demmick swivels and escapes.
Cutts misses with the combination.
Demmick scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Demmick thumps Cutts with a low kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Demmick lands a high kick!
Demmick lands a leg kick that knocks Cutts off balance momentarily.
Cutts throws a head kick but Demmick moves out of range.
Demmick raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Cutts gets caught napping as Demmick dives in and scores a takedown. Cutts manages to retain guard.

Cutts is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Demmick presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Demmick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cutts misses with a takedown attempt - Demmick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Demmick only half commits to the counter leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ashley Cutts will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


An inside leg kick lands from Demmick.
Cutts fails with a takedown attempt.
As Cutts backs off Demmick throws a huge counter combo but Cutts manages to avoid it all.
Cutts is trying hard to land a takedown here. Demmick sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Demmick throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cutts's head.

Demmick rushes Cutts and presses him up against the cage.
Demmick prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ashley Cutts. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Demmick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Demmick feints and then cracks Cutts's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cutts down.

Cutts fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Demmick to the ground. Cutts is now in Demmick's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Demmick manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Cutts tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Demmick breaks the clinch.
A good leg kick by Demmick.
Demmick shoots in but Cutts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've been informed that Demmick has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Demmick pushes Cutts up against the cage in a clinch.
Cutts jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Demmick walks away with a smile on his face. Cutts gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Demmick shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cutts pinned against the cage. Cutts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Demmick.

Cutts closes the distance looking to clinch
and Demmick counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Demmick lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cutts's sensitive parts.
Demmick misses with a head kick.
Demmick throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cutts wants to clinch
and Demmick counters with a good low kick that Cutts was not able to check.
Demmick throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cutts's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cutts tries for a takedown but Demmick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Demmick goes for a double leg but Cutts avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cutts continues to drive forward.
Cutts tries to clinch up but Demmick circles away and keeps his distance.
Cutts is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Cutts is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Demmick thumps Cutts with a low kick.
Demmick jabs Cutts to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Demmick fails with the takedown.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cutts jumps guard but Demmick turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Cutts goes for a takedown in the clinch but Demmick prevents it.
Cutts has Demmick pushed against the cage.

Cutts fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Cutts tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Demmick wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Bo Demmick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Cutts chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Demmick can pounce on him.
Demmick is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cutts sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Demmick turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Demmick darts in looking for a takedown but Cutts gets double underhooks and turns Demmick into the cage.
Cutts thinks about countering with a head kick.

Cutts shoots in for a takedown but Demmick shows good takedown defense.
Cutts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Demmick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cutts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Demmick wants to control the action here but instead Cutts manages to pass to full mount!
Demmick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cutts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cutts cracks Demmick with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Demmick is trying to escape the mount.

Cutts takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cutts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cutts looking to ground and pound but Demmick is blocking nicely.
Cutts scoring with strikes but Demmick is staying in there.
Demmick has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Cutts's lack of action.
Demmick controlling the position for now.
Cutts seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Demmick throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Cutts working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Cutts stalling.
Demmick is not content to let Cutts control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Demmick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cutts seems to be working for a kimura but Demmick defends the submission attempt.

Cutts is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cutts prevents Demmick from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Demmick is trying to get back to full guard.
Ashley Cutts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Demmick looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Demmick throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cutts.
Cutts tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Demmick defends well and Cutts ends up having to push Demmick into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Demmick shapes to counter with a head kick.
Demmick connects with an inside leg kick.

Cutts gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cutts uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A nice leg kick lands there from Demmick.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ashley Cutts.
I think Cutts has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
