Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Dentler (ranked 3976 p4p, 350 weight class) and David Dukes (ranked 3888 p4p, 347 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Dentler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Dukes!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes is looking to clinch but Dentler is avoiding it.

Dukes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dentler's half guard.
Dukes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dentler!

Dukes has control of Dentler's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dentler regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dentler tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dentler takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Dukes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dentler doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dukes.

Dukes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dentler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dukes tries to clinch there but Dentler circles away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dentler has Dukes up against the cage in a clinch.
Dukes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dentler has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dukes is on top in guard.

Dentler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dukes is one step ahead there.

Dukes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dentler tries to roll over but Dukes keeps him under control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dentler kicks off Dukes and gets to his feet.
Dukes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dukes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dentler avoids it really well and circles away.
Dukes closes the distance looking to clinch

and Dentler counters with a crisp one two that drops Dukes! Dentler thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dukes to his feet! Dukes is in big trouble!
Dentler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dentler misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dukes throws a body kick that misses.
As Dukes looks to move away, Dentler throws a big counter combo but Dukes just gets out of the way.
David Dukes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dukes gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dentler is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dukes is defending well.
Dukes working hard to break the clinch.

Dentler breaks from the clinch.
Dukes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dentler looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Dentler drops Dukes with a beautiful combination! Dukes stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dentler is looking for the KO!

Dukes clinches up against the cage.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dukes looking to throw knees to the head but Dentler is blocking nicely.
Dukes misses with a knee strike.
Dentler softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Dukes lands with a left to the head.
Dentler drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dukes tries to break free but Dentler pushes him back against the cage.
Dukes pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Dukes throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dukes tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Dentler jumps guard but Dukes stands there with Dentler around his waist. Dentler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Dentler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dentler throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Dukes misses with a knee strike.
Dentler leaning his opponent against the cage.
Dentler tries a body shot but Dukes blocks it.
Dentler tries to throw a body punch but Dukes avoids it by throwing Dentler back against the cage.
Dukes with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Dukes misses with a hook from the clinch.

Jake Dentler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dukes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dentler can pounce on him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dukes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but David Dukes will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

It looks like Jake Dentler has been cut.

Dentler lands a big uppercut and Dukes crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dukes looks OK. Dentler waves Dukes back to his feet!
Dukes is still on wobbly legs! Can Dentler finish him?
Dentler motions for Dukes to come forward. Dentler throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Dukes seems to have recovered his senses.
Dukes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dentler throws a quick counter head kick but Dukes was just out of range.
Dentler throws a powerful right kick. Dukes tried to block low but the kick was high! Dukes was taken right off of his feet! Dentler jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jake Dentler!
A pretty intense looking Jake Dentler took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
