With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Steve Jr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Dusse gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

Van Der Dusse has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Official UFC Performance Institute Training Center in the buildup to the fight.

Van Der Dusse misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Steve Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Van Der Dusse avoids it really well and circles away.
Steve Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steve Jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Van Der Dusse is looking to counter punch.
Steve Jr has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Steve Jr there as he acknowledges the shot.
Steve Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Van Der Dusse sprawls well. Van Der Dusse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steve Jr gets slowly back to his feet.

Steve Jr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Van Der Dusse connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Steve Jr scrambles back to his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Van Der Dusse gets a double leg takedown into Steve Jr's guard.

Steve Jr is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Van Der Dusse defends well.

Steve Jr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Der Dusse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Van Der Dusse postures up and lands a big shot to Steve Jr's brow.

Steve Jr is looking for a triangle but Van Der Dusse pushes his legs off easily.
Van Der Dusse chips away with some ground and pound.
Van Der Dusse working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Steve Jr's head.

Steve Jr has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Van Der Dusse is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Steve Jr.
Steve Jr is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Van Der Dusse has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Steve Jr wants to get back to his feet.
Steve Jr tries to bench press Van Der Dusse off him but Van Der Dusse keeps the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Van Der Dusse tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Van Der Dusse has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Van Der Dusse is putting a hurting on Steve Jr here, landing some big shots from side control.
Steve Jr manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Van Der Dusse lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Van Der Dusse lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Steve Jr wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Van Der Dusse connects with a nice short shot to Steve Jr's temple.
Steve Jr is not content to let Van Der Dusse control the position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Van Der Dusse connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Van Der Dusse throws a body shot but no joy.
Steve Jr scores with a punch to the head.
Van Der Dusse misses with a hook. Steve Jr ducked under it nicely.
Van Der Dusse scores with a sloppy right hand. Steve Jr should have avoided that one.

Van Der Dusse shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Steve Jr manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Van Der Dusse lands a couple of digs.

Steve Jr pushes a forearm under Van Der Dusse's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Van Der Dusse is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). George Steve Jr!

George Steve Jr decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
