Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Allen (ranked 4623 p4p, 384 weight class) and Donato Russo Jr (ranked 4507 p4p, 380 weight class). Russo Jr has chosen Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bruce Allen had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donato Russo Jr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo Jr lands a glancing blow to the side of Allen's head.
Allen closes the distance and clinches up with Russo Jr, looking for a takedown. Allen pushes Russo Jr against the cage but Russo Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Russo Jr scores with a hook to the body. Allen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Allen avoids a punch combination nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Russo Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Allen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Russo Jr is trying to defend but Allen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
