Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Travis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Travis pushes Johnson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Johnson moves into the clinch.

Travis pulls guard.
Travis lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnson is controlling Travis's posture.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Travis controls the pace.
Johnson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Travis lands a couple of digs.
Johnson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Travis puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Johnson tries to roll over but Travis keeps him under control.
Johnson wants to control but Travis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Well, if Travis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Johnson shoots in but Travis avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Travis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Travis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Travis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Travis has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Johnson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Travis is now in half guard.

Travis is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Travis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnson is trying to get back to full guard.

Johnson has one foot on Travis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Travis or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson, which made it look bad.

Johnson gets a double leg takedown into Travis's guard.
Johnson won't allow Travis to get back to his feet.
Travis keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Travis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Travis lands a nice hook to Johnson's body. Johnson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Alex Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Travis is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson goes for a double leg but Travis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Travis continues to drive forward.

A little feinted left hand from Travis on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Johnson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Travis wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him.
