Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gregory Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop throws a series of punches but Munoz moves out of range.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Munoz is defended easily by Bishop.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bishop tries to keep at a distance but Munoz has taken the fight into the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Munoz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've been informed that Bishop has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Munoz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bishop wants to stand but Munoz is controlling the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Still in half guard, Munoz seems content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Munoz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bishop stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Armondo Munoz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Munoz keeps Bishop at a distance using the push kick.
Munoz thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bishop if he has to take too many more of those.

Munoz is nestled in close to Bishop, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A relieved looking Armondo Munoz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
