Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolay Perevalov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perevalov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ivan pinned against the cage. Ivan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Perevalov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ivan defends it nicely.

Perevalov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perevalov drags the fight down to the ground.
Ivan trying to stand up but can't free himself from Perevalov's guard.

Ivan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Perevalov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ivan's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Perevalov gets to his feet. Ivan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ivan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ivan tries to break free but Perevalov pushes him back against the cage.
Perevalov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ivan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Perevalov is trying to drag Ivan to the mat but Ivan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ivan is trying to break free.
Perevalov is pushing Ivan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Ivan is pressed up against the cage. Perevalov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ivan down to the mat. Ivan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Perevalov slips a jab and a cross from Ivan.
Perevalov throws a low kick but Ivan moves out of range easily.
Ivan looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Ivan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Perevalov's calf.

Perevalov dives in for a single leg takedown but Ivan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Perevalov closes the distance and clinches.
Perevalov goes for a takedown attempt but Ivan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Perevalov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ivan breaks the clinch.
Ivan slaps away a takedown attempt from Perevalov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Perevalov has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ivan tried to score with a low kick but Perevalov checks it.
Perevalov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Perevalov is looking for a triangle but Ivan pushes his legs off easily.

Perevalov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ivan stacks Perevalov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ivan!

Perevalov manages to get back to half guard.
Perevalov is controlling Ivan's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Perevalov holds on and takes a little breather.
Perevalov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ivan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perevalov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ivan has managed to get both his arms back between Perevalov's legs - danger averted.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Perevalov jumps guard and drags Ivan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Perevalov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Perevalov stands up from Ivan's guard - Perevalov perhaps looking for a knockout.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ivan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Yaroslav Ivan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ivan tries to clinch but Perevalov is having none of it.

Perevalov pulls guard successfully.
Perevalov is pulling down on Ivan's head. It's preventing any offense from Ivan, at least for the moment.
Ivan looking to sit in guard and control but Perevalov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Perevalov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Yaroslav Ivan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nikolay Perevalov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Perevalov moves into range and clinches up with Ivan.

I've got Perevalov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Nikolay Perevalov rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
