Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spude Pulkkinen (ranked 1983 p4p, 273 weight class) and Valentin Saric (ranked 2673 p4p, 340 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saric closes the distance and clinches up with Pulkkinen, looking for a takedown. Saric pushes Pulkkinen against the cage but Pulkkinen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pulkkinen throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Saric stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Pulkkinen swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Saric looks to throw the jab but Pulkkinen is out of range.
Saric avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Saric clobbers Pulkkinen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Pulkkinen is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Saric's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Saric, as that shot connected.
