Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Professor Xe (ranked 1572 p4p, 187 weight class) and Axel Youngblood (ranked 1367 p4p, 171 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Youngblood as he avoids it easily.
Xe drops his hands momentarily and Youngblood takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Professor Xe has been cut.

I was talking to Xe's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Xe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Xe shoots in looking for a takedown. Youngblood tries to sprawl out of it but Xe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Youngblood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Xe, as that shot connected.
