Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bernardo De Barros (ranked 644 p4p, 77 weight class) and Bogdan Yanovich (ranked 843 p4p, 104 weight class). Yanovich has chosen When Johnny Comes Marching Home as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yanovich fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
De Barros staying out of range there.
Yanovich throws a jab but it's blocked by De Barros.
De Barros doesn't manage to clinch there - Yanovich circles away.
Yanovich has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
De Barros fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yanovich manages to avoid it.
Yanovich connects with a looping right hand.

and Yanovich connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
De Barros is looking to clinch but Yanovich is avoiding it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Yanovich! But no joy.

De Barros tries to clinch up but Yanovich circles away and keeps his distance.
Bernardo De Barros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

De Barros dives in for a single leg takedown but Yanovich sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Yanovich throws a jab but it's blocked by De Barros.
De Barros swings for the body but Yanovich moves out of range.
De Barros shoots for a double leg takedown but Yanovich sprawls well. He's pushed De Barros's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It seemed like Yanovich was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Yanovich wants to counter with a clinch but De Barros pushes him away.
De Barros tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Yanovich manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Barros goes for a double leg but Yanovich avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yanovich continues to drive forward.
De Barros tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Yanovich swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Yanovich lunges at De Barros with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by De Barros's hand.
De Barros moves out of range of the strikes.

Yanovich closes the distance and pushes De Barros back into the cage.
De Barros tries to pull guard but Yanovich holds him up against the cage and eventually De Barros drops back down to his feet.
Still in the clinch, Yanovich scores with a nice short uppercut.

Yanovich manages to break the clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yanovich, as that shot connected.

Excellent takedown into side control there by De Barros.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yanovich is looking to regain half guard here but De Barros keeps moving and retains side control.
De Barros in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

De Barros tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no De Barros has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Yanovich on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
De Barros advances to full mount.

De Barros breaks from Yanovich's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Yanovich stops De Barros from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

De Barros is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Yanovich has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Yanovich!

De Barros has his foot on Yanovich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yanovich works his way back into a safe position though.

Yanovich is posturing up here but De Barros has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Yanovich tries to roll out but it's too tight and Yanovich has to tap! Slick submission there by De Barros!
