Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Daker (ranked 6254 p4p, 0 weight class) and Truck Boogard (ranked 3675 p4p, 0 weight class). Truck Boogard will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Truck Boogard!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boogard throws a nice head kick!
It looks like John Daker has been cut.
Daker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boogard in his tracks.
A head kick misses from Boogard.
A left and a right from Boogard both land. Nice combination.
Daker takes a kick to the side of the head.
Daker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Daker checks the leg kick nicely there.
Boogard throws a combination that misses
and Daker counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Boogard is looking to stand back up but Daker counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Boogard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Daker is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Daker is working for a submission of some sort.
Daker works his foot free and advances to mount.

Daker looking to secure an arm triangle but Boogard defends it well.
Daker working for a guillotine from mount but Boogard is in no mood to give up.
Daker controlling from the full mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Daker is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Boogard has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Daker looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daker lands with some strikes.
Daker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A nice elbow there by Daker.
Boogard is bucking up trying to escape but Daker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Daker controlling his opponent.
Boogard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Boogard is trying to escape the mount.
Daker lands a big shot there that rocks Boogard but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Daker looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boogard is looking to improve his position but Daker isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Daker fails to move to back control.
Boogard wants to control but Daker is having none of it.
Daker looking to control but Boogard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Daker controlling from mount.
Daker goes for an armbar but Boogard turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Boogard.
Boogard is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Daker has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Boogard is looking to defend but Daker has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Boogard! Daker pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Boogard taps out and this one is all over!
