The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Damme checks a leg kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Van Damme misses its target.
Le Booty fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Van Damme was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Van Damme closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Van Damme misses with a punch to the body.
Van Damme doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Le Booty is trying to break the clinch but Van Damme has him pressed against the cage.
Le Booty jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Van Damme walks away with a smile on his face. Le Booty gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Van Damme tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Le Booty manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Le Booty misses with a series of wild punches.
Van Damme appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Le Booty closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Van Damme's guard.
Le Booty stays in close to Van Damme's body and controls the position.
Le Booty stops Van Damme from standing up.
Le Booty is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Le Booty trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Le Booty is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Le Booty closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Van Damme did well to prevent Le Booty getting side control.

Van Damme is trying to stand up here but Le Booty is controlling him well.
Le Booty slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
