The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox tries to clinch there but Valiquette circles away.
Valiquette is looking to counter the offense by Knox and move into the clinch.
Valiquette looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Knox gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Knox fails to pull guard.
Knox has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Valiquette after a bit of a struggle.
Valiquette gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Knox.
James Valiquette has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lonnie Knox.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Valiquette.

Valiquette breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knox throws a wild body kick that Valiquette sees coming a mile off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knox tries to clinch up but Valiquette circles away and keeps his distance.
Knox is looking to clinch.
Knox fails to land the takedown.

Knox lands a big head kick that sends Valiquette tumbling to the mat! Knox takes a step backwards and waves Valiquette back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Knox counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Valiquette falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
