The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paco had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Robles defends it easily.
Robles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Paco has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Robles off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The fight stays on the outside here - Robles looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Paco tries a head kick but it misses.

Paco fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Robles, pushing him back against the cage.
Robles is trying to drag Paco to the mat but Paco just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Paco shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Robles is trying to defend but Paco finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Paco is trying to push Robles away but Robles has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Robles has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Paco after a bit of a struggle.

Paco seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Let's hope that Paco has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
