PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Uncle Creepy (ranked 2020 p4p, 215 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 1424 p4p, 156 weight class). Durden has chosen Where Is My Mind as his entrance music. Uncle Creepy had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Uncle Creepy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Durden!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creepy closes the distance but Durden moves to the side
and Durden counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Creepy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Creepy throws a left and a right that both miss
and Durden counters with an outside leg kick.
Durden jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
That kick from Durden tenderised Creepy's leg. Creepy is trying to keep his angry face on.
Creepy has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Durden.
Durden slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A left lands for Durden.
Nice jab there from Durden.
Durden takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Creepy drops his shoulder and cracks Durden with a huge uppercut! Durden goes down! Can Creepy finish him?


Durden is rocked!
Durden keeping moving, preventing Creepy from controlling successfully.
Durden is still in real trouble! Can Creepy finish him?
Creepy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Durden seems to have recovered his senses.
Creepy stopping the sweep attempt from Durden.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Creepy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Durden wants to sweep here but Creepy controlling him for the moment.
Durden can't keep his opponent in guard - Creepy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Nice strikes from Creepy there.
Creepy trying to control the action but Durden is working from the bottom.
Durden wants to control but Creepy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Creepy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Durden defending well though.
Creepy trying to control from Durden's half guard. Durden has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Creepy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Creepy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Creepy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Durden taking punishment in the form of punches.
Creepy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Durden keeps working.

Creepy has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Durden throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Creepy.
Durden displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Creepy throws out the jab.
Creepy looks to land a combination. Durden sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Durden dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Creepy. That did some damage!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Durden fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Creepy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Durden takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Creepy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Creepy there as he acknowledges the shot.
Durden looks to score with a jab to the body but Creepy is just out of range.

Durden avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Creepy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Durden. That did some damage!
Durden misses with a hook.
A slapping leg kick lands for Creepy.

Creepy swings widly with a right hand
and Durden counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Durden drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Durden dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Creepy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Creepy misses with a double jab.
Durden throws a front kick that sends Creepy stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Creepy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Durden.
Durden shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Durden throws a body shot but no joy.
The crowd cheers as Creepy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Durden doesn't seem phased though.

Durden pulls Creepy in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Creepy manages to get himself to full guard.

Creepy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Durden's head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Durden lunges at Creepy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Creepy's hand.
Creepy connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Creepy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Durden.
Creepy misses with an uppercut. Durden saw that one coming.

Durden lands with a kick to the temple. Creepy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Durden connects with a leg kick. Creepy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Oh Creepy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Creepy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Durden moves away.
Creepy darts in trying to clinch
and Durden counters with a stiff right hand.
Durden drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Creepy right on the button. Creepy goes down! Durden follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Durden gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyler Durden!
A relieved looking Tyler Durden thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
