Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barren Von Braun (ranked 6352 p4p, 497 weight class) and Kimbo Slive (ranked 6128 p4p, 493 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barren Von Braun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kimbo Slive!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slive tries to close the distance and clinch but Von Braun swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Slive tries to score a power double leg takedown but Von Braun sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slive somewhat.
Von Braun tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Slive defends well and Von Braun ends up having to push Slive into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Slive fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Slive closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Von Braun prevents Slive from breaking the clinch.
Von Braun digs a right hand into Slive's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Slive's gas tank.

Von Braun escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slive gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Von Braun changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slive looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've been hearing good reports from Von Braun's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Slive has his hands clasped together but Von Braun extends and breaks Slive's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Von Braun.
