The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemp goes for a double leg but Ivanov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ivanov continues to drive forward.
Kemp fails with a takedown attempt.
Ivanov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kemp's half guard.
Kemp is staying active underneath Ivanov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ivanov is looking to advance position but Kemp won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ivanov prevents Kemp from standing back up.
Ivanov thows an elbow strike that misses. Kemp gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Ivanov doesn't seem too bothered but Kemp quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Ivanov is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Ivanov really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
