Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 32 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Dux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 23 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iain Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux throws a head kick that misses.

Dux gets caught napping as Reilly dives in and scores a takedown. Dux manages to retain guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reilly accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reilly postures up in Dux's guard and throws a big left but Dux blocks it.
Reilly missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dux is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Reilly looking to sit in guard and control but Dux gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dux has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Reilly pulls Dux in to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reilly is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Reilly takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Dux is staying active underneath Reilly, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Reilly missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Ground and pound from Reilly.
Reilly looks to land a strike but Dux avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Reilly is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Reilly in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Reilly with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dux can't keep his opponent in guard - Reilly advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Reilly seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dux does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Reilly missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Reilly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reilly thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dux's head.
Dux keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dux avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Reilly.
Dux is looking to escape.

Reilly not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Reilly scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Reilly looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Reilly working over Dux with some ground and pound. Dux looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Reilly working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


Dux is rocked!
Reilly lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Dux quite badly. Dux pulls Reilly in close trying to recover. Reilly postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Dux on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Dux doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iain Reilly!
