Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hank Vaughn (ranked 3689 p4p, 416 weight class) and Jack Anvile (ranked 4017 p4p, 440 weight class). Jack Anvile told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ron Honeybunn and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anvile staying out of range there.
As Vaughn backs off Anvile throws a huge counter combo but Vaughn manages to avoid it all.
Vaughn misses with a right hand
and Anvile counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Vaughn lands a jab to Anvile's midsection.
Vaughn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Vaughn throws a solid leg kick but Anvile takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Vaughn.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anvile has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vaughn throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Vaughn thows a left - swing and a miss!
Vaughn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Anvile sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Anvile looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Anvile looks to score with a jab to the body but Vaughn is just out of range.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vaughn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

It seemed like Anvile was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Anvile tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vaughn defends well and Anvile ends up having to push Vaughn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Anvile has his foot on Vaughn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vaughn works his way back into a safe position though.

Anvile escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vaughn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Anvile is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vaughn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vaughn's back!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Anvile holds on and takes a little breather.

Anvile can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Vaughn controls the pace.
Anvile controls Vaughn momentarily but Vaughn frees himself.
Vaughn tries to free his leg and advance position but Anvile is retaining full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hank Vaughn.
Well Vaughn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
