Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kieran Busk (ranked 2331 p4p, 263 weight class) and Jim Samson (ranked 3700 p4p, 381 weight class). Jim Samson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kieran Busk's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Busk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Busk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Samson manages to avoid it.

Busk takes the fight into the clinch.
Busk lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Busk scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Samson decides to pull guard.
Samson has Busk pulled in close to control his posture.
Busk wants to get up but he can't break Samson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Samson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Busk presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Samson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Samson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Busk wants to stand and escape but instead Samson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Busk manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Samson tries to break the clinch but Busk is controlling the position.
Busk works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Samson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Busk gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Busk dips a shoulder and cracks Samson with a mighty uppercut! Samson falls back against the cage and Busk unloads with a barrage of strikes! Samson is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Busk screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
