The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ecakals throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Miles tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ecakals is in Miles's guard.
Miles looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ecakals is one step ahead there.

Ecakals takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Miles dives in for a single leg takedown but Ecakals sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ecakals will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Miles escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ecakals gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Miles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ecakals passes Miles's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Ecakals has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ecakals has hold of Miles's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Miles manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Miles tries to lock up and control but Ecakals gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Andre Ecakals has got the better of the ground game so far.
Miles tries to hold on but Ecakals pushes him away.

Andre Ecakals showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Miles tries to clinch up

and Ecakals counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ecakals.

Ecakals stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miles swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ecakals darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Ecakals is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Miles can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Andre Ecakals comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ecakals has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
