Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Madik MBaku (ranked 986 p4p, 133 weight class) and Zabud Zabirov (ranked 2464 p4p, 256 weight class). Zabirov has chosen Panic at the disco - High hopes as his entrance music. Zabud Zabirov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by MBaku or perhaps it was just good defense by Zabirov, which made it look bad.
No joy there for Zabirov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Zabirov gets caught flat footed, as MBaku shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
MBaku wants to control from the top but Zabirov keeps moving.
Zabirov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with MBaku. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
MBaku won't allow Zabirov to get back to his feet.

MBaku works a leg free and moves into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

MBaku is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zabirov defends it well.
