Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Bronco (ranked 846 p4p, 120 weight class) and Streicher Voges (ranked 2083 p4p, 269 weight class). Voges has chosen Windgat bakkie as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voges shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bronco as he avoids it easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Bronco blocks the leg kick.
Voges uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bronco.
Bronco lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Voges displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bronco throws out the jab.

Bronco moves into the clinch successfully.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bronco.
Bronco throws a punch but it's blocked by Voges.
Bronco struggles to land a body shot inside as Voges controls his hands.
Voges tries to pull guard but Bronco won't allow it.
Bronco lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Voges is looking for a takedown.
Johnny Bronco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Streicher Voges.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Voges blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bronco misses with the head strike.

Voges tries to pull guard but Bronco forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Voges blocks an uppercut.
Voges tries to stall but Bronco uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Bronco is pressed up against the cage. Voges has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bronco down to the mat. Bronco avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bronco throws out a loose jab but Voges uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bronco circles away from the clinch attempt.

Voges throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bronco tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Voges is in Bronco's guard.

Bronco is looking for a triangle but Voges pushes his legs off easily.
Bronco is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bronco tries to pass the half guard into mount. Voges knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bronco winds up and cracks Voges with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Voges can do anything to dispel that myth.
