Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fireball Kid (ranked 4316 p4p, 421 weight class) and Ramon Cassel (ranked 3245 p4p, 339 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ramon Cassel!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cassel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kid to the mat! Kid manages to get full guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Kid has his foot on Cassel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cassel works his way back into a safe position though.

Cassel has gone for a leg lock! Kid slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cassel's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Cassel is defending against the submission attempts here by Kid.

Cassel tries to get to full guard but Kid has control of the leg.
Cassel is trying to maintain the position but Kid is very close to passing his half guard.

Kid is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cassel has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kid is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cassel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kid.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kid is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kid is looking to take a break and control but Cassel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kid looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Kid is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cassel is just riding it out for now. Kid eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kid seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cassel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A jab from Kid finds it's way through Cassel's defenses.

Kid looks to score with a jab to the body but Cassel is just out of range.
Kid ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Kid looks to move to half guard but instead Cassel has passed into mount! Damn!
Kid is squirming around, avoiding Cassel's attempts to control the action.

Kid is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cassel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cassel's back!

Kid is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cassel has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Kid has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cassel should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kid has tightened it up now! Cassel should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
