Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cruz Dillon (ranked 7449 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Wilson (ranked 5004 p4p, 496 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Cruz Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Connor Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wilson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wilson throws a body kick that misses

and Dillon counters with a takedown into side control.
Wilson wants to get back to his feet but Dillon is dominant here and he's now got Wilson's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilson manages to escape to his feet.

Dillon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dillon wants it to stay on the feet.

Cruz Dillon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dillon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wilson wants to counter the offense by Dillon and move into the clinch position.

Dillon tries to score a body lock takedown but Wilson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Wilson is trying to push Dillon away but Dillon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dillon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dillon avoids the elbow strike from Wilson, against the cage.

Wilson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dillon pulls his leg out and moves away.

Dillon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wilson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dillon throws a right and a left that both miss.

Wilson stands and steps away. Dillon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wilson.
Dillon tries to counter by clinching up but Wilson breaks away and moves out of range.
Wilson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dillon pinned against the cage. Dillon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wilson is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dillon throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Wilson.

Connor Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Wilson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dillon attempts a counter takedown but Wilson avoids it well and moves away.
Dillon has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

and Wilson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wilson.

Wilson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dillon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wilson to the mat. Wilson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Connor Wilson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Dillon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dillon prevents Wilson from getting back to his feet.

Dillon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dillon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cruz Dillon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cruz Dillon.
I think Wilson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
