The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hunt.
Hunt throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Hunt decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Zzz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hunt.
A jab from Zzz does it's job there.
Zzz misses with a looping left.

Hunt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hunt lands in his opponent's guard.
Hunt stays in close to Zzz's body and controls the position.

Hunt stands up from guard. Let's bang!
We've been told by Hunt's head coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zzz enables Hunt to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zzz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Zzz is looking to stand back up but Hunt counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Zzz.
Zzz should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Hunt performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Zzz is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hunt wants to pass to mount but Zzz is defending the position.
Hunt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hunt uses his free foot to push down on Zzz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zzz.
Hunt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Zzz tries to buck Hunt off but Hunt takes his back!
What can Zzz do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
