Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phil Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jambe De Bois!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman lands a nice hook to De Bois's body. De Bois takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
De Bois misses with a hook. Coleman ducked under it nicely.
De Bois darts in looking for a takedown but Coleman gets double underhooks and turns De Bois into the cage.
De Bois throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

De Bois tries to bench press Coleman off him but Coleman keeps the position.
Coleman is working De Bois over with some ground and pound from side control.
Coleman fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Coleman has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Coleman wants to control but De Bois is keeping him busy.
Coleman lands a decent elbow from side control.

Coleman is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt De Bois will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

De Bois shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of De Bois's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take De Bois's back!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Coleman.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

De Bois tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

De Bois really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
BOOM! Coleman connects with a massive shot to the dome!

De Bois is desperately trying to improve his position but Coleman has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Coleman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as De Bois is looking to escape.
Coleman lands a couple of good shots and De Bois has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Coleman is not going to allow De Bois to sit and survive in this position.
De Bois staying busy and making it hard for Coleman to control.
De Bois trying to control the hands but Coleman won't let him.
Coleman doesn't have the hooks in and De Bois manages to turn into his guard.
De Bois distracts Coleman with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
De Bois stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coleman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Coleman wants to sweep but no luck.
De Bois wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving.

De Bois won't allow Coleman to sweep him here.
Phil Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
De Bois trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Coleman has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but De Bois has passed into side control.
De Bois is trying to ground and pound but Coleman uses the momentary lack of control by De Bois to regain half guard.
Coleman wants to improve his position but De Bois is controlling well.
De Bois is just content to waste time from the top position. Coleman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


De Bois ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away.
Coleman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from De Bois.
De Bois connects with a jab.
Coleman throws a body punch but De Bois moves out of range.
De Bois throws a right hand that Coleman ducks under and follows up with a left that Coleman also avoids with ease.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from De Bois is defended easily by Coleman.
Coleman wants to clinch up but De Bois keeps it at a distance.
De Bois takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Coleman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Bois looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there.

Coleman stands up over De Bois, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Coleman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down De Bois's shoulder. That is not cool.
De Bois tries to bench press Coleman off him but Coleman keeps the position.
De Bois tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Coleman easily slips into full mount!
Jambe De Bois has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Coleman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Coleman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of De Bois's face.


De Bois is rocked!
Coleman loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have De Bois scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Coleman land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Coleman stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Coleman!
Phil Coleman tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
