The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grace gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Savage pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Savage could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Savage fails with a takedown attempt.

Grace closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Savage quickly recovers to half guard.

Savage makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Grace fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Savage to the ground. Grace is now in Savage's guard.
Savage wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Grace manages to pass to side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grace wants to take a breather but Savage is having none of it.
Grace wants to pass to mount but Savage is defending the position.

Grace is keen to just control but Savage is a slippery customer.

Grace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Savage is just riding it out for now. Grace eventually gives up the hold.
Savage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grace on the ground.

Grace is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Grace wants to lay and pray for a moment but Savage keeps working.

Savage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Grace is working for a kimura but Savage is defending it quite comfortably.

Grace has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Savage defend it? Grace steps over the head and cranks it - Savage is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Grace!
