PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anti Half Assed (ranked 670 p4p, 79 weight class) and Freddy White (ranked 2318 p4p, 251 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anti Half Assed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 26 - 4, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy White!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Half Assed throws out the jab.
Half Assed is looking to clinch.
A countering left hand to the body from White misses.
White moves out of range of the strikes.
Half Assed blocks a jab.

Half Assed moves into range and clinches up with White.
Half Assed tries to work over White's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

White breaks from the clinch.
White steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Half Assed.
White defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Half Assed.
Half Assed jabs at White's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Half Assed moves in looking to clinch but White pushes him off.
We've been hearing reports that Half Assed has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
White keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
White throws a head kick but Half Assed moves out of range.
White cracks Half Assed with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
White connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White throws a leg kick
and Half Assed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
White scores with the left hand. Half Assed knows he should have avoided that one.

Half Assed moves into range and clinches up with White.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
White has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Half Assed uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Half Assed rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and White counters with a three punch combo that has Half Assed backing up. Half Assed nods at White to acknowledge the strikes.

White lands a big head kick that sends Half Assed tumbling to the mat! White takes a step backwards and waves Half Assed back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Half Assed is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Half Assed doesn't succeed with the takedown
and White counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Half Assed out cold! What a finish! White is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
