Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yellow Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Asher Wright!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright tries to bum rush Man with a series of wild strikes but Man uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Man looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Man just misses with a punch to the body.
A cross from Wright lands.
Man tries to clinch up.
Man drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Wright cracks Man with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Man misses with a wild combination.
Wright scores with a jab to the body.
Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wright scores with a jab to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Good exchange - Wright coming out on top.
Wright lands with a nice body punch.
Wright throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Man with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wright to score with a decent uppercut.

Man takes a jab right on the kisser.
Asher Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wright stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wright wants it to stay on the feet.
Man takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Man changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wright tries to avoid it but Man manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wright to the ground. Wright escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Despite the aggression on Wright's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Wright swats away the attempt to clinch by Man.
Wright cracks Man with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Wright listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Wright lands the left hand.
Man looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yellow Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Man shoots for a takedown but Wright saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Man on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Wright blocks a head kick by Man.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wright getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Man throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wright's waist but Wright gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Man off to one side.
Man walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wright connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Man's hands.
Man walks into a straight right hand from Wright.
Wright lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Wright lands the left hand.
A left lands for Wright.
Man wants to clinch.
Wright uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wright connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Man looks for the body kick but Wright saw that one coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A jab from Wright does it's job there.
Wright connects with a crisp jab.
Wright connects with a jab.
Wright jabs Man right on the nose. Man blinks but takes it well.
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Man looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Wright lands a jab.
A right-left combo lands from Wright.
Wright is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wright lands a body shot.
Wright bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Man's head backwards.
Man takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Wright looks to score with a jab to the body but Man is just out of range.
Man tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wright defends well and Man ends up having to push Wright into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Wright throws out a counter right but Man avoids it with no problem.
Wright bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Man tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wright is able to avoid easily.
Wright throws a combination that misses
and Man counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Wright fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Man looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Man takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Man takes one to the chin there.
Wright lands a really nice looking cross but Man seems unphased.
Man takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wright scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wright fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Wright's jab looks to have found its range, popping Man under the eye.
Wright lands with a hook. Man tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Man takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Man takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wright stuns Man with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Asher Wright dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Nice uppercut there from Wright.
Man walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wright clobbers Man with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wright keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wright might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Man ducks right into an uppercut from Wright.
Man doesn't manage to clinch there - Wright circles away.
Wright lands with a cross.
Man looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Man avoids the body shot from Wright.
Wright with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Man shoots in but Wright avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Man closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wright did well to prevent Man getting side control.
Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Man wants to control but Wright is keeping him busy.
Wright avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Man.
Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Man looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wright with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man stops Wright from getting back to his feet.
Wright tries to kick Man off in order to stand up. Man Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wright can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wright avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Man.

Wright tries to escape back to his feet but Man has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Wright's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Wright is tapping! Man saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yellow Man!
