PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lachlan Myers (ranked 21723 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Machin (ranked 18011 p4p, 0 weight class). Myers's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Soldier's Song. The crowd seem to be enjoying Machin's choice of entrance music: Pandora's Music Box. Myers has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machin goes for a double leg but Myers avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Myers continues to drive forward.

Machin gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Myers is breathing heavily.
Myers is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Myers wants to improve his position but Machin is controlling well.
Machin wants to free his trapped foot but Myers is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Machin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Myers has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Machin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machin is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Myers is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Miguel Machin decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
